Stacie Crochet, LCSW

I have made my home and established a private practice in the Pacific Northwest. Through my work, I am committed to helping people overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives.

I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.

My credentials include the following:

Certifications

  • Advanced Addiction Counselor (AAC)

  • Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS)

  • Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD)

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Degrees

  • Master of Social Work (MSW), Florida State University, Tallahassee

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), University of Texas, Austin

Experience

I have over 30 years of experience as a mental health counselor. Before starting my own practice, I was a psychotherapist and urgent care counselor at Austin Regional Clinic (later named Integrated Mental Health). Prior to that, I was the social services director at Palmview Psychiatric Hospital in Lakeland, Florida. I have assisted victims at the Center for Battered Women, and have worked with adolescents and adults in overseas military schools and other psychiatric settings.

I have a wealth of volunteer experience working with the elderly, high risk populations, and supervision. I am currently working with a local police department to establish a peer support program and have extensive knowledge of the stresses inherent within the law enforcement industry. In addition, I am a board member for Columbia Wellness.

I have vast experience counseling clients with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse. My background enables me to be an extremely effective social worker who is comfortable counseling diverse groups of people.
